While its wedding rings are for both women and men, Tiffany & Co. never designed an engagement ring specifically for men.
CNBC The jeweler has announced the launch of its first men’s engagement ring. The brand wants to break into new markets amid the rise of same-sex marriage.
Tiffany & Co. (owned by luxury product group LVMH) named its new line after the company’s founder – Charles Lewis Tiffany. Inspired by the strap on the Tiffany Setting, the men’s ring features a brilliant round diamond set on a blade-edged strap. On the other hand, emerald cut diamonds have chamfered edges. This is a modern, bold and structured alternative to the classic engagement ring. Depending on the design, the weight of the diamonds used ranges from 1 to 4.5 carats. Products are available on store shelves from the beginning of May.
