Wangjiazhai Village, located in Anxin County, Xiong’an New District, is the only pure water village in Baiyangdian with no land access. A main island and 17 satellite islands are connected by a small bridge, forming a large bonsai on Baiyangdian Lake, which is called “Dianzhong Emerald”.
Recently, good news came from the village. The second phase of the clean energy transformation project of the whole village is about to be completed and put into production at the end of April, which means that this thousand-year-old village is about to bid farewell to the “black briquettes” and become a veritable all-electric green ecological scenic spot.
The total area of Wangjiazhai Village is about 2 square kilometers. The land resources in the village are scarce, and the streets are narrow alleys with water district characteristics. For a hundred years, the villagers used boats as their cargo, and their daily energy supply was mostly coal.
“In the 1960s, hundreds of telephone poles were erected in the reeds outside the village. The electricity was connected, but the voltage has not been stable until now. Because the telephone poles are buried in the water, they will shake or shake when there is wind or water. When the village was blown down, the power was cut off from time to time in the village; for heating and cooking, coal was transported into the village by small boats. In winter, the mighty coal ships float on the surface of the water, crushing it, destroying the environment and the air…” Wangjiazhai Said Wang Jun, secretary of the village party branch.
“Wangjiazhai Village belongs to the ecological service function area. It is suitable to transform production, life and energy use through micro-landscape transformation, and build a village with folk customs and all-electric green ecological scenic spots in northern water towns.” Xing Zhikun, head of State Grid Xiong’an New District Power Supply Company, introduced , On October 10, 2020, the “Dianzhong Emerald” Wangjiazhai Green Smart Microgrid Demonstration Project was launched, becoming the first village-level energy Internet project in China based on the coordination and complementation of wind and solar storage, and the group control of cooling, heating and power groups. After the project is completed, the proportion of electricity in Wangjiazhai Village’s energy consumption will eventually increase to 100%.
At the Wharf Plaza of Wangjiazhai Village, Baiyangdian, the project leader Liu Jie introduced: “On the basis of the microgrid project, we have also explored new energy supply models such as the mutual aid society’s collective-level DC microgrid and the future family-level microgrid, as well as smart More than a dozen green electricity innovative applications such as trash cans.”
“In January this year, the first phase of the energy storage device installation of the project was completed, and the micro-grid function was initially completed and effective, realizing that in the case of an external grid interruption, the Wangjiazhai Village micro-grid can operate independently without interruption of power supply. The current second phase The project is accelerating and is scheduled to be completed and put into operation by the end of April. By then, Wangjiazhai Village can meet the supply of green and clean energy through photovoltaics, power generation fans, energy storage devices, etc., and enhance residents’ smart life experience.” Liu Jie said.
