Just removed the barrier for a week, the part of Le Loi Street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) about 150m long has become a skateboarding spot for many young people in Ho Chi Minh City.

As noted by Zing, after a week of changing the new look, the part of Le Loi street that extends to Nguyen Hue pedestrian street attracts people to have fun and check-in. From 4pm every day, many young people gather on this road to skateboard. A few people, curious tourists also stopped to take pictures. Tran Van Vu (19 years old) shared that since the day Le Loi Street removed the barrier, you often come here to skateboard with friends because the road is wide, there are no cars passing, so the skateboarding space is comfortable. “After school in the afternoon, my friends and I invited each other over here to play. Before moving to Le Loi Street, I often skated in the area near the city theater or in Nguyen Hue pedestrian street,” Vu said. A few days ago playing skateboarding in the pedestrian street, Mr. Simon (USA) saw many people bringing skateboards to Le Loi Street to play, so he changed the location to the new road to remove this barrier. “I have been to Vietnam for almost a year. In the afternoon, I often take my girlfriend to skateboard with me. I play in the area near Landmark 81, pedestrian street, but these places often have security reminders. Crossing Le Loi street is more comfortable,” said Simon. Along the sidewalks, many people parked their cars to watch skateboarding, check-in on the side of the road to remove the barrier. Shop fronts on Le Loi street are open after many years of being sealed. Some people choose this location as a place to record street fashion photos. Besides some individuals who comply with 5K regulations in public places, there are still people who do not wear masks, being subjective in epidemic prevention. Many young people said that while skating while wearing a mask, it will be difficult to breathe and hot, so they do not wear it even though they know the epidemic situation is complicated. From 6pm, this area starts to get more crowded, about 150m long road becomes a bustling skateboarding playground. On April 28, the fence on Le Loi Street from Pasteur Street to Nguyen Hue Street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) began to be dismantled. After a week with a new look, this place attracts people to visit, check-in, the new street corner becomes a skateboarding playground. At noon on May 7, the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City issued an urgent request to stop the operation of the wedding center, gym, and events with more than 30 people in public places. The time to suspend the above activities from 6pm on 7/5. Previously, after detecting a case of Covid-19 in Binh Tan district on April 29, Ho Chi Minh City decided to suspend bar, karaoke and disco activities. From 6pm on May 3, Ho Chi Minh City will suspend more massage activities, saunas, music stages, plays, cinemas, video games, etc.
