List of 50 candidates for the 16th National Assembly in Ho Chi Minh City

In the official list of 50 candidates for the 15th National Assembly in Ho Chi Minh City, 13 cases were nominated by the Central Government to run in the city.
On the morning of April 23, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City held a handover ceremony for 224 candidates to the XV National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term to the City Election Commission.

After the 3rd Consultation, out of 52 candidates for National Assembly deputies, Ho Chi Minh City has 37 qualified people in the official list of candidates for the 15th National Assembly. Out of 172 candidates for People’s Council representatives in Ho Chi Minh City, the city has 158 qualified people in the official list of candidates for City People’s Council for the term of 2021-2026. Thirteen candidates for the XV National Assembly are nominated by the Central Government, including: 1. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Politburo member, President. 2. Mr. Le Minh Tri, Member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Supreme People’s Procuracy. 3. Major General Nguyen Minh Duc, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly’s National Defense and Security Committee. 5. Colonel Do Khac Huong, Deputy Director of Department of Legal and Public Administration Reform, Justice, Ministry of Public Security. 6. Major General Dang Van Lam, Deputy Commander of Military Region 7. 7. Major General Duong Van Thang, Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court, Chief Justice of the Central Military Court. 8.
