State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc ran for National Assembly member in Ho Chi Minh City

State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc was introduced to Ho Chi Minh City by the Central Government as a candidate to the XV National Assembly.
Today (April 23), the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City held a handover ceremony of documents and a list of qualified candidates for the term of the 15th National Assembly and the City People’s Council for the term of 2021-2026. Accordingly, State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc was introduced to Ho Chi Minh City by the Central Government to be the candidate for the 15th National Assembly.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Member of the Politburo, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Chairman of the Council of National Defense and Security 2. Mr. Le Minh Tri, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Party Civil Affairs Committee, Head of the Supreme People’s Procuracy 3. Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, First Secretary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, Central President of the Youth Union Vietnam, Chairman of the National Committee for Youth, Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front, Member of the National Election Commission 4. Mr. Nguyen Minh Duc, Major General, Deputy Secretary of the Department of Defense and Security, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly’s Defense and Security Committee 5. Mr. Tran Duc Cuong, President of Vietnam Association for Historical Sciences Along with 13 candidates introduced by the Central to Ho Chi Minh City to run for the 15th National Assembly, there are 37 candidates being consulted by the Central Committee in Ho Chi Minh City. Thus, the total number of candidates for the National Assembly in Ho Chi Minh City is 50, HCMC voters will elect 30 members of the 15th National Assembly. On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City instructed localities to organize meeting meetings so that voters could meet and understand more clearly the candidates for the 15th National Assembly and the City People’s Council.
