On April 15, Da Nang City People’s Court opened a trial to hear the defendants including: Xiao Hai Hong (born 1995, Chinese nationality), Nguyen Thi Yen (born in 1995, residing in Phuoc My ward, Son Tra district, Da Nang City), Le Thi Toan (born 1983, residing in Man Thai ward, Son Tra district, Da Nang city) for “illegally organizing others to stay in Vietnam”; Chen Jia Wen (born 1999, Chinese nationality), Wei Jian (born 1984, Chinese nationality), Xiao Wen Pei (born 1994, Chinese nationality), Xiao Bing Bing (born in 1989, nationality) Chinese citizenship) for “Organizing others to enter Vietnam illegally”.
According to the indictment of the People’s Procuracy: on the basis of the confirmed investigation results, on August 14, 2020 at house number 88 Ha Ky Ngo (Man Thai Ward, Son Tra District, Da Nang City, City Police) Da Nang conducted a stay check and found that there were 14 Chinese staying without visas in the house.On August 15, 2020, at house number 20 Nguyen Duc An (Phuoc My ward, Son Tra district, Da Nang city) Da Nang City police conducted a stay inspection and found that there were two Chinese staying in the house without a visa.
Through investigation, around mid-May 2020, through Wechat, a friend of Xiao Hai Hong, A Lei (whose background is unknown), invited Xiao Hai Hong to come to Vietnam to organize a group of Chinese people to enter Vietnam. Men who illegally work to entice others in China to gamble on the Internet take their money, with a salary of 8,000 yuan / month.
On May 26, 2020, Xiao Hai Hong contacted Nguyen Thi Yen via Wechat to inquire about renting a house in Da Nang. Yen accepted and contacted Le Thi Toan to rent a house. On the afternoon of May 27, 2020, Xiao Hai Hong illegally entered Vietnam and went to Da Nang to meet a Chinese man named A Bao (whose identity is unknown) who gave Xiao Hai Hong 100 million VND and said money. of A Lei sent to Xiao Hai Hong to cover the costs. After that, Xiao Hai Hong was arranged by Yen and Toan in a temporary house at house number 61 Tran Duc Thong (Phuoc My ward, Son Tra district, Da Nang city).
On June 15, 2020, Yen and Toan took Xiao Hai Hong to see the house at 20 Nguyen Duc An. Xiao Hai Hong agreed to rent a house at 20 Nguyen Duc An and moved in the same day. After that, Yen came together to live with Xiao Hai Hong.
From June 25, 2020 to July 18, 2020, Xiao Hai Hong and Nguyen Thi Yen respectively organized four groups with a total of 14 Chinese people entering Vietnam illegally. In which, Chen Jia Wen, Wei Jian, Xiao Wen Pei, Xiao Bing Bing received the task of assisting Xiao Hai Hong in organizing the illegal entry of other Chinese people into Vietnam. In addition to the above acts of organizing for other people to enter and stay in Vietnam, Nguyen Thi Yen and Le Thi Toan also organized for two Chinese people, Wang Qing Lin and Su Jin Shu to stay in Vietnam. It is illegal to run a website to buy and sell yuan shares on the Internet.
To arrange accommodation for 14 Chinese people after entering Vietnam illegally, Nguyen Thi Yen contacted Le Thi Toan. Although knowing that these 14 Chinese people were illegally entered, for self-interest, Le Thi Toan arranged accommodation for these 14 Chinese to stay at house numbers 20 Nguyen Duc An and 88 Ha Ky Ngo.
In the rental of the house, Yen obtained an illegal profit of 10 million VND, the defendant Toan illegally gained 51 million VND. Yen received an illegal profit of 1.7 million dong in the purchase and sale of mobile phone SIM cards. Nguyen Thi Yen together with Le Thi Toan also organized Wang Qing Lin and Su Jin Shu to stay at 37 Tran Duc Thong house then moved to 20 Nguyen Duc An house. Nguyen Thi Yen has an illegal profit of 9 million VND, Le Thi Toan has an illegal profit of 110 million VND.
The trial panel of Da Nang City People’s Court sentenced defendants Xiao Hai Hong to 10 years in prison for “illegally organizing others to stay in Vietnam”; Nguyen Thi Yen 10 years and 6 months in prison and a fine of 20 million VND for “Organizing others to stay illegally in Vietnam” and “Organizing others to enter Vietnam illegally”; Le Thi Toan 7 years in prison and a fine of VND 20 million for “illegally organizing others to stay in Vietnam”. Sentencing of Chen Jia Wen to 2 years in prison; Wei Jian 2 years and 6 months in prison; Xiao Wen Pei 2 years and 6 months in prison; Xiao Bing Bing for 1 year and 6 months on charges of “Organizing others to enter Vietnam illegally”. The Chinese defendants will be deported from Vietnam after serving their sentences.
