In its release notes, Apple did not disclose what bugs it fixed in the new update. Normally, the second beta is expected to bring more bug fixes to the operating system, but iOS 14.7 beta 2 seems to have caused widespread SIM failure. It is not clear what percentage of testers encountered this error after the update. In addition, Apple has not yet commented on this error. Recently, users have also complained about the official iOS 14.6 operating system version released by Apple last week. Users report that their devices experience significant battery drain after updating to the new version.

The issue was first discovered by news site 9to5mac and many of the above users are continuously confirming the problem on Twitter. Until Apple fixes this on beta 2, Apple Insider advises developers to avoid downloading this release.
