Starting to have her first motorbike trip 5 years ago with her children, until now, Ms. Bich Van (57 years old) has explored all the places from the North to the South.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Van (57 years old, from An Khe, Gia Lai) is a well-known female backpacker in the travel enthusiasts community.
Having the first trip with her son in 2016, after 5 years, Ms. Van has explored most of the provinces and cities in Vietnam. “When my son went to university and was busy with work, I still roamed the roads from the South to the North alone. Initially, the journey was 100-200 km long, gradually I could go thousands of kilometers alone. The trips give me many special experiences, the happiness of seeing the beautiful scenery around the country”, Ms. Van shared with me. Zing . 
At the age of 57, Ms. Van has had many trips to discover beautiful landscapes in provinces and cities across the country. Trips with children Bich Van said that when her son was in 10th grade, he once confided in his mother that he could not absorb the natural sciences, felt like being exiled every day and found himself useless when he did not study well. that subject. He said his biggest interest is drawing and wants to enter the graphic design industry. Listening to that confidant, she only wanted to help her child debug. “Being advised by my friends to let my children have more exposure to nature, see the scenic spots to develop their artistic eyes, I decided to buy a camera and then roam around the countryside with my children, in the countryside, in the countryside and in the countryside. forest, watching waterfall. After those times, I also became addicted to the feeling of driving around the roads to see the scenery,” said the 57-year-old woman. 
When her son entered university, Ms. Van often went on solo trips. In 2018, her son entered the Graphic Design major of Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture. After completing the exam, while waiting for the results, the mother and daughter had a trip together. “That trip, I was behind the wheel of my son. Although I carefully warned her not to go into the sand, she still accidentally hit it, mother and daughter fell. He broke his leg, I injured my ankle. At that time, fearing that they would be scolded by their husband for getting injured, the mother and daughter continued to get on the bus to go from Phu Cat (Binh Dinh) to Tuy Hoa (Phu Yen)”, Ms. Van said. Mother and daughter stayed in Phu Yen to rest, recuperate and explore the places here. After a week, the wound was healed, and Ms. Van and her son dared to go home. 
During the past 5 years, Ms. Van has explored all provinces and cities from North to South. In January 2019, Ms. Van and her son had a trip to Gia Lai – Ninh Binh. During the journey, mother and daughter stopped in Ha Tinh, climbed to the top of Hong Linh mountain and visited Huong Tich pagoda – a famous beautiful temple in Vietnam. After that, the two continued to explore Tam Chuc (Ha Nam), Mua Cave (Ninh Binh), enjoy a variety of local specialties. One of the trips with her son that Ms. Van remembers the most is the 7-day trip to Cambodia by motorbike in 2020. The mother and daughter visited the big temples here and recorded memories. After the Lunar New Year holiday 2021, Ms. Van drove her son back to school in Ho Chi Minh City because she was worried about the complicated development of the Covid-19 epidemic. “On the way, we implement the 5K regulation to prevent epidemics and avoid contact with other people. After taking my children to the place, I ran straight back to Gia Lai by myself.” Currently, her son is a 3rd year student. Recalling the old story, she feels happy to have inspired and motivated him to pursue his dream. “For me, every trip with my child contains many interesting memories when the two of us have the opportunity to share more. I want to be a friend to share everything with, understand my children better. Fortunately, my child also understands her mother’s psychology, often shares personal problems and consults with me,” said Ms. Van. Happy even alone After traveling with her son, Ms. Van is passionate about traveling, likes the feeling of driving alone, traveling on roads throughout Vietnam. Ms. Van is happy that her husband does not have the same hobby, but always wholeheartedly supports her in pursuing what she likes. Before each trip, Ms. Van carefully prepares what she needs to bring, such as food, medicine, phone chargers, and simple car repair tools. She looked up the route with Google Maps, asking locals about places to stay, sights or specialties of the area. 
The 57-year-old woman hopes to have exciting new journeys in the future. In 2020, Ms. Van has a 2-month trip (from the end of August to October) to the northern mountainous provinces to see the scenery of the ripe rice season. The female backpacker recalled that on this trip, she bought a dog like Mong Coc from the local people. One day when passing the ripe rice area in Hoang Su Phi, surprised by the beautiful scenery, she stopped the car to take pictures. When she got in the car to continue, after a while she realized that the dog was gone. “I turned around a few times to find, unfortunately fell while turning the car, fortunately two local people came to help me up. When it started to get dark, I decided to go back one more round, if I couldn’t find it, I had to keep going. As soon as I returned to the old place, I saw it dragging out into the street, because the neck strap was caught in the grass, so it was too tired to cry. As soon as I saw it, I ran to hug it and cried tears of joy.” During the 2-month trip, Ms. Van also had the opportunity to climb 4 famous mountain arcs. These are Ta Xua (Son La) palaces 26 km long, Ta Chi Nhu palaces 18 km long and Lung Cung palaces 16 km long (Yen Bai), Chieu Lau Thi palaces (Ha Giang). “When I am tired or have trouble along the way, I also wish to have a companion to share, but finding such a person is not easy. In return, when I go alone, I am not tied to other people’s schedules, free to explore at will,” she shared. She said that even though she went on a trip alone, she always received enthusiastic help from acquaintances and people in the places she went through. Telling her own story, she does not expect to be famous or receive praise from others, but simply shares her personal experience, expressing her happiness when she is still healthy enough to go and see many beautiful sights. .
