Now I have money to buy food, buy a house … “, a Roi said. Five years ago, the people here never dared to think that they could get rich thanks to this naturally growing forest tree. The house of about 60 square meters of Mr. Ho Van Toan, in village 2, Tra Linh commune, calculated that a billion silver is equivalent to 5 kg of medium ginseng. This is also the price to build a common house for people in the village. Anh Toan said, in the past, people in the village did not know the real value of ginseng, but used ginseng leaves to feed pigs. Yet now, the 1-year-old ginseng costs 300,000 VND / tree, the 2-year-old is 600,000 VND / tree; 1 kg of fresh leaves costs 10 million VND, 100 grams of ginseng costs an average of 20 million VND. Realizing the high value from the ginseng tree, now throughout the villages and villages around the top of Ngoc Linh mountain, people are conscious of protecting this precious ginseng. Mr. Ho Van Toan said that here people all set up posts to keep forests to protect ginseng. “I have to set up a trap next to the ginseng plant for 24-hour protection. At night, we have to go check and catch frogs and rats to avoid the rat biting of ginseng. I want the government to support the cultivation of ginseng so that people can both have income and protect the forest, ”said Mathematics. Currently, there are 13 businesses investing nearly 280 hectares of ginseng in 3 communes Tra Linh, Tra Nam and Tra Cang.
