In the two years 2020 and 2021, Korean television continuously airs films that exploit the dark corners of the marriage of rich couples.
A series of Korean films have been aired in a row depicting married life full of dark corners. Standing at the center of each film is a couple who have to endure living together like hell. Without an appointment, the cracks in those marriages are all rooted in greed, conspiracy, and tricks of unfaithful husbands.
Seo Hee Soo and Han Ji Yong Mine is a TV series revolving around the fate of brides in Korean chaebol families. Seo Hee Soo (Lee Bo Young) was once an entertainment superstar, but in order to fulfill her responsibilities as a bride, she accepted to give up her career. Hee Soo is married to Han Ji Yong (Lee Hyun Wook), the second son of the Hyowon clan.

Han Ji Yong got lost in the Hyowon clan in an unexpected way, he did not have the bloodline of this famous family. Ji Yong herself also had a child with another woman before marrying Hee Soo. The image of Lee Tae Oh’s husband on the screen became even more pathetic when he returned to Sun Woo, feeling reassured when he was having an affair with his ex-wife. Thought that the marriage with the lover had satisfied Tae Oh’s love fantasy, but it turned out that what the man loved so much before was just himself. Lee Tae Oh’s greed and selfishness eventually pushed the lives of two women and his children into a spiral of pain and hatred.
