When traveling to Jiujiang, Jiangxi, many people went straight to Mount Lu. In fact, there are still many beautiful scenic spots in Jiujiang. We accidentally discovered the “Jiangxi version of Qiandao Lake” during this trip.
This scenic spot is located in the southwest of Jiujiang City, spanning Yongxiu and Wuning counties, with a water area of 308 square kilometers, which is about 54.4 times the water area of Hangzhou West Lake.
The main component of the West Sea of Mount Lushan is Zhelin Lake. This is not a natural lake in ancient times, but a large reservoir formed by artificial water storage. The islands in the lake area are dotted with different shapes. The total number reaches 1,667, including nine core islands. Connected by various artistic pontoons, visitors can hike island hopping.
In addition, there are many beautiful isolated islands around the main island. They are strange in shape and lush green, some are like gems, and some are like animals. What is even more surprising is that there is a heart-shaped island on the lake. , Just like carefully carved out by hand.
Surrounding the lake are islands, with clear water and blue sky. There are both the beauty of Chinese freehand landscape painting and the charm of the island scenery. Friends in the same field affectionately call this “the Chinese version of Maldives”. In my opinion, this adjective is used very appropriately.
Take a cruise from the scenic wharf to the island wharf, the scenery along the way is endless. Due to the fine weather, the lake is pinkish blue, which is particularly beautiful.
Looking back at the pier, I saw that the buildings and mountains were undulating and layered mountains reflected on the water, so beautiful that they couldn’t be expressed in words.
Photographers always say that water is the most beautiful scenery in the world, but water without mountains is destined to be mediocre. I like the beauty of the West Sea of Mount Lushan.
The cruise ship scurried forward and opened a waterway, and the long waves of water seemed to be waving its tail freely like a mermaid.
In the morning the lake was filled with mist, and a mini island appeared in front of the cruise ship. There was a tree on the island, struggling to grow alone. The distant mountains, near waters, and lone trees constitute a beautiful painting environment, and suddenly there is a feeling of being in the Erhai Lake in Dali and Lugu Lake in Lijiang.
The Lushan West Sea is the largest earth dam reservoir in Asia, with an average water depth of 45 meters and 150,000 negative oxygen ions per cubic centimeter. The first-class water quality and air make it the largest breeding ground for peach blossom jellyfish in the country.
Because of the fresh air, I felt refreshed and happy when I entered the Lushan West Seascape.
Island hopping in the West Sea of Lushan Mountain is a special travel experience. The natural greenery of each island is very good, and you can always find various highlights when you circle the island.
The islands are dotted with many creative buildings. Some are stylish and elegant, some are antique, and blend in harmony with the environment, which is very suitable for taking pictures.
Looking from afar, you can see the undulating mountains and thousands of islands. The pontoon bridges connecting the islands are clearly visible. These pontoon bridges of various shapes are like strings of pearls. They connect beautifully and become a part of the landscape.
In addition to the charming scenery of the West Sea of Mount Lushan, there are also many entertainment projects and special viewing platforms on the island, such as glass bridges, sky swing bridges, sightseeing towers, etc. Some classical plank roads and viewing platforms built on the lake shore are particularly flavorful.
The biggest highlight of the scenic spot is that there are many islands. In addition to climbing high and looking into the distance, aerial photography using drones is a good choice. Under the high-altitude vision, the scenery is majestic and breathtaking.
Travel strategy: There are two main tourist routes in the scenic area. Line A is for island hopping. After arriving at Sangtian Island by boat from the visitor center, you will pass by Cangdao Island, Mingzhu Island and other islands on foot, and finally take a boat back at Yunju Island Pier. At the visitor center, the whole journey takes about four hours. Because the scenery is so beautiful, we walked and filmed at a very slow pace, which took a full day.
The tourist line B of the West Sea of Lushan Mountain is a special line for the fishing island. First, you must take a boat from the visitor center to the West Sea Fishing Island, and then enter the boutique tourist area. The whole journey takes six or seven hours. There is a restaurant on the island, dining is not a problem, our lunch is solved on the island, while tasting the food, while admiring the beautiful scenery outside the window, it feels particularly wonderful.
