Recently, the headline of many news or media is “U.S. travel ban on more than 130 countries”, which has caused a lot of panic. Many people have also asked what happened: Is there no way I can go out after entering the United States?
The answer is: this statement is not accurate. The United States does not prohibit people from traveling to more than 130 countries. The U.S. government just added “Do not travel” to the fourth level of the travel advisory level, adding more than 100 countries to this category.
On the website of the U.S. Department of Foreign Affairs, there are restrictions on the levels of travel advice to various countries, which are generally divided into four levels:
- The first level, normal and careful;
At the second level, be more careful;
The third level, consider carefully;
At the fourth level, don’t travel;
These four levels are just advice for you to travel to various countries. The fourth level “Don’t Travel” originally had 34 countries listed, but this week it was added to more than 130 countries, which means that these countries may be listed by the US government as not to go due to war, disaster, or instability. The level of travel, but it does not mean that you cannot go.
