When it comes to Wuyuan, Jiangxi, many friends are no strangers. As a rare place in China that “the whole county is a scenic spot”, Xiaoyu spent 5 days in Wuyuan and visited many places, but missed many scenic spots. The reason is that there are too many places to visit and play in Wuyuan County. Wuyuan is very famous, but when it comes to the only 5A scenic spot in the county, many people may not know it.

The 5A scenic spot is the highest level in the quality assessment of my country’s tourist scenic spots. A county town can have 5A scenic spots, which also shows from the side that Wuyuan is unique in tourism resources. It is worth mentioning that this scenic spot in Wuyuan is currently the only village-type 5A scenic spot in Jiangxi Province. It is-Jiangwan.

Many of my friends have been to Wuyuan for the first time. They may have heard of Huangling, the “Yunti Renjia”, and Jiangling, which is one of China’s four largest seas of flowers, but they have never heard of Jiangwan.

In fact, I only came to Wuyuan to learn about this 5A scenic spot. Unlike Huangling, which requires a separate ticket purchase, the ticket for Jiangwan is included in the Wuyuan 5-day tour package; if the ticket is purchased separately, it is 60 yuan.

Before coming to visit, I had great expectations for this place, thinking about it, it is a 5A scenic spot after all! But after the tour, I was not impressed too much here. Share the travel experience with everyone, and friends who want to come can refer to it.

Jiangwan is a tourist attraction on the east line of Wuyuan, 28 kilometers away from the county seat. It is also an ancient village with a long history and culture. At the end of the Sui Dynasty and the beginning of the Tang Dynasty, people with the surnames of Teng, Ye, Bao, and Dai lived in the river bays and were originally called “Yunwan”. In the second year of Shenzong Yuanfeng in the Northern Song Dynasty (1079), the eighth ancestor of Xiaojiang, Jiangdi, first moved to Jiangwan, and his descendants gradually multiplied into giants, which was later renamed “Jiangwan”. In history, many literati came out of the village. Today, the village still retains the official residences of the Ming and Qing Dynasties such as Yushifu and Zhongxiandi, and there are also typical Huizhou merchants’ residences such as the Teng Family Old House, Sanshengtang, Dunchongtang and Peixintang . The largest private residence in Jiangwan, “One Mansion and Six Courtyards,” also collapsed in a fire in the 1980s and fell into ruins.

Of course, the most magnificent building is the Xiaojiang Ancestral Hall at the entrance of the village. Xiaojiang Ancestral Hall, also known as Yongsi Temple, was built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. It was once known as the first of the four ancient buildings in Wuyuan and one of the most famous ancestral halls in the south of the Yangtze River. But today our ancestral hall was rebuilt in 2003.

There are also places where you can visit the Jiangwan Scenic Area, but there are too many ancient villages in Wuyuan. In contrast, here is a bit “commercial”. The scenic area of ​​Jiangwan is separated from the residential area. There are no well-preserved villages within the scenic area. There are only a few ancient Huizhou buildings scattered among them, and most of them are commercial shops.

If you buy a Wuyuan travel package for 180 yuan, you can come to Jiangwan for a stroll if you have time. If you don’t have time to miss it, you won’t feel sorry.
