Discover the following feng shui tips to protect your home!
1. Solid front door
The front door is the mouth of qi, where energy enters the house. In feng shui, the main door will definitely protect everyone in the house from any negative energy or uninvited guests. To know if the front door is solid or not, check the strength of the door first. Does the lock work? Is it well-repaired? Does it have enough light? The front door is definitely like a gate, creating a barrier between you and the outside world, helping to invite positive energy. 2. Red front door Another way to strengthen the front door is to paint the front door red. Red is an auspicious and powerful color in feng shui. Red is often used in feng shui to transform negative energy and protect. Red belongs to the element Fire and is an energetic, stimulating and dynamic element. 3. Black Natural Tourmaline Rough Stone Crystal Black tourmaline is a crystal that helps absorb negative energy and is an Earth stone. It can help you feel safe and protected from challenging and difficult situations and negative energy. You can also create a protective net by placing a piece of black tourmaline in each corner of a room, house, or under the four corners of a bed. You can place a black crystal, like black tourmaline, on the front door. Black absorbs and protects you from the energy outside your home. 4. The spell Adding a door guard spell can also protect your home. For example, “Om Mani Padme Hum” is a Sanskrit mantra commonly used in feng shui. That is the mantra of Avalokiteshvara, the bodhisattva of compassion. This mantra means “the jewel lies in the lotus”, possibly a reminder of inner beauty, just like the lotus flower can bloom from muddy water. Many Tibetan prayer flags have mantras written on them and can be placed inside and outside the home. Alternatively, you can write a spell (or any protection that makes sense to you) on paper and place it above your door. This way, every time you go in and out, you will activate and receive that protection. 5. Bagua mirror bát The bagua mirror is one of the best home protection methods. It is a round mirror in an octagonal frame and has a bagua print on the edge of the mirror. The bagua, as well as the bagua areas, are connected with the I Ching, an ancient Chinese text used for divination. Let the bagua mirror outside the home, above the front door or large window, point towards negative or dangerous energy. Do not place the bagua mirror opposite the neighbor’s house. 6. Ring the bell You can hang a bell on your front door to alert anyone who comes in and out of your house. Metal bells are the best kind of bells. The bell will protect you. Hang a bell on your front door if you can’t hang it in a commanding position, meaning you can’t see the exit while you’re in bed, at your desk, or cooking in the kitchen.
