Richemont founder and chairman Johann Rupert said in a statement on April 25: “I have lost not only a colleague but also a dear friend. Elbaz is one of the brightest and most beloved characters in the fashion industry. He has built a reputation, a talented person with a special vision. Alber Elbaz was born in 1961 in Morocco. He spent 14 years working for the Lanvin brand, from 2001-2015. At the end of October 2015, Elbaz left the position of creative director of the French fashion house. He was interrupted in the fashion industry for the next five years. Earlier this year, Alber Elbaz launched its collection at AZ Factory in the fashion sense Haute Couture Spring – Summer 2021 . This collection marks the return of Elbaz after a 5-year hiatus. The original Moroccan designer introduced the movie “Show Fashion” to launch this collection. At the beginning of the film, Alber Elbaz talks about his health condition and the disease he has suffered. Besides, Elbaz also talked about the friends in the fashion industry who reminded him to return such as Marc Jacobs, Pierpaolo Piccioli, Gabriela Hearst. Sai when he was a creative director for 14 years at Lanvin, Alber Elbaz wanted to make a difference. He teamed up with Richemont to launch his latest fashion venture.
