On the evening of May 12, Vietnam time, Asus officially launched two new phone models using Snapdragon 888 chip and equipped with 5G technology.
Asus has made a strong move with this year’s ZenFone series. While ZenFone 8 Flip does not have many design changes, ZenFone 8 possesses extremely “terrible” performance in just a compact body. These two phones will have a starting price in Europe of 599 Euro (about 16.8 million VND) for ZenFone 8 and 799 Euro (about 22.3 million VND) for ZenFone 8 Flip.
ZenFone 8 and 8 Flip both use Snapdragon 888 chip for processing speed up to 2.84GHz, among the top most powerful processors today. ZenFone 8 will be equipped with a 5.9-inch OLED screen, Full HD resolution and 120Hz screen refresh rate for a smoother experience. This phone model has IP68 water resistance standard, sold with up to 16gb Ram and 256gb storage configuration. In addition, both Zenfone 8 and Flip 8 support 5G technology.

It offers a large 5,000mAh battery and has support for 30W fast charging. The device will be sold with a maximum configuration of up to 8gb of Ram and 256gb of storage. However, the Zenfone Flip 8 version will not be equipped with IP68 water resistance standard.

In terms of camera specifications, ZenFone 8 is equipped with similar technology to the ZenFone 7 series with a standard 64-megapixel camera with OIS and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. Unlike the Flip 8 series, Zenfone 8 does not have a front-facing camera, but is replaced by a hole in the middle of the screen that acts as a 12-megapixel selfie camera, giving sharper image quality than the model.
