The upgraded version of the BMW 5-Series series has just been launched in Vietnam. The car has 3 versions: 520i Luxury Line, 520i M Sport and 530i M Sport.
On April 15, Thaco officially launched an upgraded version of the BMW 5-Series in Vietnam. This is the first new product of BMW in 2021 in Vietnam market. The car is distributed with 3 versions including 520i Luxury Line, 520i M Sport and 530i M Sport, selling price of 2,499 billion, 2,969 billion and 3,289 billion dong, respectively.
The car was introduced to the world in May 2020 as the LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) version, the BMW concept used for the upgraded mid-life versions, also known as the facelift.
In this version, the BMW 5 Series owns a more modern and aggressive appearance. The noticeable changes in the appearance include the wider grille, the front lights are made more square with the 2-L shaped positioning lights similar to the 7-Series “elder”. The contour of the headlights is designed thinner for a modern look.
The standard version of the BMW 520i Luxury Line is equipped with smart adaptive LED headlights. While the BMW 520i M Sport and 530i M Sport versions are equipped with BMW Laserlight headlights, the light range is up to 650 m.
This is also the first time the BMW 5-Series has been equipped with the M Sport package. The 520i and 530i M Sport versions have a strong appearance and improved aerodynamics, 19-inch sports wheels, while the standard version is equipped with 18-inch wheels.
The interior of the new BMW 5 Series features a 12.3-inch central touchscreen display found in all versions. A sport leather steering wheel with multi-function buttons is standard. In addition, the car also has a 4-zone automatic climate control system with extensive features.
The interior compartment of the 5-Series LCI also inherits the most advanced equipment from the “elder” BMW 7 Series and BMW X7 including new interior trim lights, an ion-generating system and interior aroma (Ambient air). , premium Dakota leather seats.
Other on-board facilities include the BMW Intelligent Voice Control, an Apple CarPlay compatible entertainment screen and wireless Android Auto.
520i M Sport and 530i M Sport versions also feature heating and cooling for the driver’s seat, 16-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system, 600W capacity, 9-channel amplifier.
The new BMW 5-Series is equipped with a B48, twin-turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder engine. The 520i Luxury Line and 520i M Sport models have 184 hp and 290 Nm of torque, while the 530i M Sport makes 252 hp and 350 Nm of torque. This engine block is combined with an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission, a rear-wheel drive system.
As the most advanced version, the BMW 530i M Sport is equipped with adaptive suspension, which can adjust the hardness / softness depending on the driving mode. The remaining versions of the new 5-Series get standard suspension.
With the price of 2,499-3,289 billion VND, the BMW 5-Series 2021 is more expensive than its rival Mercedes-Benz E-Class 2021 (VND 2.31-2.95 billion), Lexus ES 250 (VND 2.54 billion) or Volvo S90 (VND 2.15 billion).
