Duong No ancient village is located in Phu Duong commune, Phu Vang district (Thua Thien – Hue province) nestled on the Pho Loi river. Although located outside the heritage area of the ancient capital of Hue, Duong No ancient village always attracts a lot of tourists because it once imprinted a childhood of President Ho Chi Minh.
From the city center, it only takes us fifty-five minutes by motorbike along the road about 7 km towards Thuan An beach to reach the village. The entrance to the old village is so peaceful.
The green and ancient roads bend along the cool areca trees. The house is separated from the house by the green tea trees. Perhaps the cool steam from the Pho Loi River has made the old trees and orchards greener. Walking around the village under the blazing sun, without a hat, without an umbrella, without feeling hot. Duong No Memorial House – where President Ho Chi Minh and his father and brother lived and studied from 1898 – 1900. A special place in Duong No village that any visitor cannot ignore is the national historical and cultural relic of Uncle Ho’s memorial house. Back in history, Duong No memorial house is the place where President Ho Chi Minh used to live during the period 1898 – 1900. In 1898, Nguyen Sinh Sac (Uncle Ho’s father) was invited by Nguyen Si Do. home to teach in Duong No village. Mr. Sac brought his two children, Nguyen Sinh Khiem and Nguyen Sinh Cung, to have the conditions to teach them. At his father’s kanji class, Nguyen Sinh Cung learned the first kanji. Currently, the house still keeps the memorabilia attached to Uncle Ho’s childhood. The two sides of the house’s entrance are still intact, with rows of neatly trimmed and neatly trimmed Chinese tea, and the orchard around the house is always fragrant, bearing fruit in four seasons.
