On June 19th, IT Home News Foreign media Windows Central reported that this week, a public forum leaked the so-called Windows 11 ISO mirroring system. This version of Windows shows that it is Windows 11 in the entire WinVer, installation screen, out-of-box setting experience, etc., and also brings a brand-new UI and some hidden features.
Although we have never doubted the authenticity of the leak or the fact that the operating system was marked as Windows 11, some people still think this is some evil trick by Microsoft. In other words, some people think that this leak was intentional by Microsoft, and the Windows 11 logo is a blindfold. Later this month, Microsoft will reveal the real operating system and the new name.
But according to Microsoft’s actions, the software giant is very dissatisfied with the early disclosure of Windows 11.
Microsoft filed a formal Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) complaint against Beebom, a technical publication located in India. Fossbytes first discovered the protest this morning, and the DMCA complaint can be viewed online. The appeal was sent yesterday, and the description is short but interesting.
“Beebom.com’s article is distributing Windows 11 ISO (copyright owned by Microsoft). Please delete their article from the search. This is an unpublished leaked copy of Windows 11.”
It is unclear whether other websites that directly distribute the leaked ISO images have also received notice of withdrawal, but once discovered by Microsoft, it seems likely that they will be required to perform the deletion operation.
However, the more important news is that Microsoft denied that this ISO was deliberately leaked, and indirectly confirmed that the name of the new operating system was Windows 11.
IT Home is informed that the leaked ISO image is an early build version of Windows 11 in May, and is not a complete operating system that will be released as a free update later in October this year
