Last week, “Many Leaf Houses” (a project by young people who are passionate and enthusiastic about the environment) organized the activity “Exchanging batteries for trees” to spread the green lifestyle in the community, contributing to minimizing the negative impact on the living environment.
Initially Leafy house The activity was planned to be carried out in two weekends (April 17-18), but the battery collected in just 2 days has exceeded expectations and still many people have yet to participate. Therefore, the project is extended by young people from April 19 to 25.

Tracking and knowing about the program through fanpage or sharing from friends, students, employees, parents or even children bring batteries to support the program ”, Ai Nghi shared.

By the end of April 24, the program had received more than 120,000 broken batteries and electronic equipment; donating 6,000 trees. 
The collected batteries will be sent to the gathering point of Vietnam for recycling to be disposed of most thoroughly. It is known that each battery thrown into the environment or improperly disposed of will contaminate 1 cubic meter of soil and 500 liters of water within 50 years. Once received, these batteries will be volunteered by volunteers Leafy house bring to the gathering point of the Vietnam recycling program for the most thorough treatment. On the same occasion (April 24 and 25), Leafy house also organized the activity “Exchange plastic bottles for recycling socks” to receive more recyclable materials. “Many Leaf Houses” known as a chain of social activities in terms of culture, education and environment, has been deployed in Hanoi City and recently Ho Chi Minh City.
