Rose trumpets originated from the Americas, with elegant beauty blooming, blooming pink on many roads in Ho Chi Minh City.
Around the end of April to June, hundreds of rose-blooming trees on many roads in Ho Chi Minh City are racing to bloom, blooming in pink, making the hearts of passersby. The elegant and gentle beauty of this flower can be admired in some routes such as Dien Bien Phu (Binh Thanh District), Vo Van Kiet, Ham Nghi (District 1), Vo Thi Sau (District 3), To Huu (District 2) … In recent years, this flower has been no stranger to the Saigonese when simultaneously blooming across the streets, with a characteristic color. Rose lily is a flower native to the Americas, also known as the rose bell flower, and has been experimentally planted in Ho Chi Minh City since 2009. The rose has the same color as the cherry blossoms, the flower shaped like a bell, grows in clusters of 10-20 flowers. They have a gentle but arrogant beauty. When first blooming, the flowers are purple with pink color, after a few days, the color of the flower fades and falls under the wind. At the time of flowering, most of the leaves are falling, leaving only the prominent flower clusters on the branches. Small trees only 3 – 5m high also have lost all their leaves, leaving only bunches of blooming pink flowers. Every year, the pink trumpet usually blooms in April and lasts until June, but this year, the weather is hot so many trees bloom early from the end of February. A number of large pink trumpets on Dien Bien Phu Street burst into bloom, controlling a whole corner of the sky to turn pink. Two pink trumpets are blooming at the water tower at the foot of the Dien Bien Phu bridge over the Nhieu Loc – Thi Nghe canal. In addition to the Dien Bien Phu route, Vo Van Kiet Street, near the Thu Thiem tunnel, is an area where the pink trumpet is planted a lot, quite dense. Compared to the previous flower seasons, this year the pink trumpet in this area blooms irregularly, often falls quickly because Ho Chi Minh City often has thunderstorms at this time. After the blooming waves, the falling rose trumpets cover the road surface and the lawn, and they will wither quickly when it is sunny. About a week this week, two rose trumpets at the foot of Khanh Hoi Bridge (District 4) entered the deciduous phase, the flowers blooming all over the branches, attracting passers-by to see. Big and small flower buds follow one after another, when the flowers fall, the buds bloom until the end of the season, wearing a pink color in the urban space. This flower is leaving a new mark, gradually familiar with the Saigon people in dozens of species of trees planted throughout the city. Each year, there are only a few flowers blooming for people to admire, because the pink trumpet blooms only at the same time for 3-4 days and then quickly withers the people, falling and leaving a new green color.
