Since ancient times, many places of interest have been named with the word “Diaotai”, such as Lv Shang Diaotai, Hanxin Diaotai, Zhuangzhou Diaotai, Sun Quan Diaotai and more than ten places, among which Yan Ziling Diaotai is the most famous. There is a long corridor adjacent to Mr. Yan’s Temple, which is the “Old Stele Corridor”, which was built by the local tourism department in 1983. The corridor of the old stele is 53 meters long and has a total of 22 stone steles, including 2 ancient steles, and most of the inscriptions are poems praising Mr. Yan Ziling’s high style. Strolling through the stele corridor, the heavy cultural heritage lingers around the body, which makes people have to feel for it. Going forward through the stele corridor, you can see a pavilion building called “Qingfeng Xuan”. There is a platform on the top of the pavilion. As an excellent place of seclusion, there have been many literati and inkmen to travel here since ancient times. Li Bai, Fan Zhongyan, Su Shi, Meng Haoran, Zhu Xi, Zhang Daqian, Guo Moruo and others have all visited here. According to statistics, there are more than 1,000 from the Northern and Southern Dynasties to the Qing Dynasty. A poet and writer has visited this place and left more than 2,000 poems.
