Viettel High-Tech Industry Corporation has 276 industrial property registration applications

On the occasion of World Intellectual Property Day April 26, Viettel Hi-Tech Industry Corporation (VHT) and the Science and Technology Journalists Club organized a tour to the High-tech Industry Corporation. Viettel and introduces about intellectual property activities of Viettel.

Journalists of Science and Technology Journalists’ Club visited Viettel High Tech Industry Corporation. Lt. Col. Nguyen Cuong Hoang, Deputy General Director of Viettel High-Tech Industry Corporation, said that VHT operates in three main areas: military technology, telecommunications technology and civil equipment. As the main unit of Viettel in the field of research and development, up to now, VHT has had 276 industrial property registration applications, of which in 2020, 48 core technologies have been completed. product, registered and accepted 66 patent application. The VHT has been granted four new international patents by the US Patent and Trademark Administration (USPTO). In addition, VHT is also granted 19 domestic patents, 5 utility solutions and 7 exclusive design rights, 25 articles are published and presented in prestigious domestic scientific journals and conferences and international. Protection of intellectual property by registering national and international patents is an important basis for VHT to own core technology, ready to integrate into the world, fully competitive. with international corporations, affirming Viettel’s leading position in research and development of “Make in Vietnam” products. In addition, VHT always goes hand in hand with the Government in promoting and developing intellectual property mechanisms. Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the Appraisal Center, Department of Intellectual Property – Ministry of Science and Technology, said that in the last 5 years, the number of patent applications of Viettel has grown continuously. The fact that Viettel has 4 US patents is of great significance in asserting the technological capacity and the development orientation of market expansion of Vietnamese enterprises.
