Unlike previously published photos, Miss Khanh Van surprised her home fans when choosing an extremely eye-catching fire color design for the evening gown performance at the semi-final night of the contest. Miss Universe (Miss Universe) for the 69th time.
According to Miss Khanh Van’s share on her personal page, this evening dress is a design by designer Thuong Gia Ky, named Dawn . Bringing the beauty of the radiant Sun and bright sky, bringing hope, dawn is the time of transition between darkness and light, the time when the Sun appears to greet the new day, shining light on all things. 
This time, Khanh Van borrowed that sacred light with the desire to shine like the Sun in the beauty arena that is considered the most fierce on the planet. The queen shared more about the meaning of this outfit: Orange is very special to Van, this is the color of the ao dai that Van’s father chose and hand-painted the first time Van touched the entertainment industry. And luckily, Van got the title of Miss Ao Dai Vietnamese schoolgirl that year. 
When wearing this color, the energy flowing in Van is always abundant and full of life, making her feel extremely confident and strong. 
Currently, the COVID-19 pandemic is still complicated. But above all, Van believes that things will have an upswing, because we all share the same belief that dark things won’t last forever. After the rain, the sun will shine, after the dark color of the night will be the first rays of the new day, the warm sunshine of the Sun. 
That’s why Van chose the Sunlight symbol for the semi-final evening gown and not any other symbol. It is the desire to rise above adversity, it is hope, and it is the absolute belief that if you always turn towards the sunlight, your shadow will be cast behind. All our sorrows will be left behind and remind us to always look forward like optimism, faith in a brilliant future. At the end of the semi-finals, along with professional performance skills, confidence and charisma, Miss Khanh Van conquered the Miss Universe stage and made the national audience very proud. 
The final of Miss Universe will take place on the morning of May 17 at 7 am (Vietnam time), the audience can watch on Foxlife channel. Audiences can vote for Khanh Van to enter the Top 21 directly by vote through the app Miss Universe , the voting portal has opened and will be closed until the end of May 15, 2021 (US time).
