In the early days of April, the ‘dinosaur backbone’ area, a new tourist destination discovered in Phinh Ho village (Di Xu Phinh commune, Mu Cang Chai, Yen Bai), had more green bamboo trees.

The project is implemented by Doan Yen Bai Province and the Warm Towel Fund for you in collaboration with Mu Cang Chai district. The project will be implemented from now until 2025, which is expected to plant on a total land area of ​​16.81 ha in the “dinosaur backbone” area of ​​Phinh Ho village, Di Xu Phinh commune, Mu Cang Chai district. In the immediate future, in 2021, it will be pilot planting 8,800 trees on an area of ​​more than 8 hectares; in the following years, additional planting will be made on the remaining area. In 2022, the project will deploy a cultural space, product display area, language classes to preserve local cultural values, support community tourism development and create a green ecosystem. from bamboo. Ms. Doan Thi Thanh Tam, Secretary of Doan Yen Bai Province, said that in recent years, storms and floods have seriously affected forest resources in Mu Cang Chai. The project implemented here aims to regenerate forests, protect the environment and develop the local tourism economy. Besides, the “dinosaur backbone” in Phinh Ho village is the attraction for many tourists to conquer and take check-in photos. This is one of the three “backbone of dinosaurs” with Ta Xua – Son La, Binh Lieu – Quang Ninh, many people rated the most beautiful in the North. “The project makes sense not only to the environment and local people but also to the young Yen Bai in the direction of forming youth cooperatives doing tourism economy”, Ms. Tam said. According to Ms. Tam, the bamboo source used in the project is indigenous species. Youth unionists coordinate with farmers with the guidance and advice of experts to create landscapes and ensure the growth of trees.
