Quang Ha town is the political, economic, cultural – social center of Hai Ha district, located on the traffic route connecting Ha Long with Mong Cai, which is identified as one of two “breakthrough points. breaking an important “socio-economic development” of Quang Ninh province with the orientation of becoming an economic, commercial, industrial, tourism, service and seaport center of the Northern midland and mountainous region, of the coastal economic belt in the Gulf of Tonkin and the focal point of the Vietnam-China economic corridor, playing a role in promoting the economy of the whole district.
More than 10 years ago, Quang Ha town was only a small scale with 5 streets, walking around for a dozen minutes, the end of the town. Compared with the standards of grade-IV urban centers, Quang Ha town basically meets all the necessary conditions. Currently, the district continues to invest in town infrastructure to be recognized as a Grade IV urban center in the shortest time; at the same time, reaching the criteria of grade-III urban infrastructure by 2025.
