As the successor model of Starex, Hyundai Staria 2021 has all the configurations of 3 seats to 11 seats with the price ranging from 27.27 – 41.35 million Won (about 559 – 848 million VND).

In recent years, Hyundai has repeatedly revealed information and images of the brand new MPV model named Staria. Up to now, the new Hyundai Staria 2021 officially launched in the Korean home market as the successor model of Starex. Called by Hyundai by the Purpose Built Vehicle (PBV) cluster, the Staria 2021 is quite large. Specifically, the car has a length of 5,255 mm, a width of 1,995 mm, a height of 1,990 mm and a wheelbase of 3,275 mm.

Compared with the “fellow” Kia Sedona 2021, which is 5,155 mm long, 1,995 mm wide, 1,775 mm high, and 3,090 mm wheelbase, the new Hyundai Staria is clearly much larger. Not only bulky, the MPV Hyundai Staria 2021 model also has a bold and forward-looking exterior design. On top of the car, this new MPV model is equipped with a rectangular grille with hexagonal meshes in the low-end version. Located on either side of the grille is a square headlight cluster with 4 balls.

Meanwhile, the premium version of the car will use a large grille with a honeycomb mesh like the Hyundai SantaFe 2021. The headlights of this version are designed in a rectangular shape with 8 balls divided into 2 vertical rows. And yet, the new Hyundai MPV model also has a daytime positioning LED strip on the bonnet. This strip extends to the full width of the bonnet and is located right above the Hyundai logo.

On the side, Hyundai Staria 2021 is equipped with large, wide windows, and lower-than-usual lower-than-normal foot diameter, providing a premium and spacious feel to the interior of the car. Meanwhile, the rear end comes with a large vertical rear light cluster with the same Parametric Pixel pixel design as the new Hyundai Ioniq 5 and a low rear bumper, making it easier to load and unload the car. Next is the side sliding door and the rear trunk door with smart electric adjustment.

Stepping inside the Hyundai Staria 2021, users are greeted with an interior space with a variety of seat configurations, depending on the version. More specifically, the Hyundai Staria 2021 Tourer version has 2 interior configurations: 9 seats and 11 seats. The Cargo version is a van, so there are 2 configurations of 3 seats and 5 seats. The Lounge version has two configurations of 7 seats and 9 seats and aims to compete with the Kia Sedona 2021.

The seat configuration will affect the luggage compartment volume of the vehicle. In the 2 and 3 seater versions, the Hyundai Staria 2021 has a luggage compartment capacity of nearly 5,000 liters. Variety of version options and seat configurations are not enough, Hyundai Staria 2021 also has quite a lot of modern equipment. Accordingly, in the high-end version, the car will be equipped with a 10.25-inch center screen and an integrated air-conditioning screen as one. Behind the wheel is the LCD color screen of the dashboard with 3 display modes: Eco, Comfort and Sport as standard.

In the 7-seat version, the Hyundai Staria 2021 will have 2 independent business seats in the middle and a relaxation mode, activated by buttons. This seat can also be reclined or electric slide up / down. Meanwhile, the 9-seater version comes with a second row of seats that can rotate 180 degrees, facing the third row. Other notable equipment of this large MPV model includes a button to select the number instead of a lever. Traditional gear, 64-color interior trim, 2 sunroofs, automatic air conditioning, heated / cooled front seats and steering wheel vibrate to alert.

The interior of the Hyundai Staria 2021 Lounge version is leather upholstery and there are 4 color options. As an MPV, of course the Hyundai Staria 2021 also has a practical interior with many storage compartments. Under the instrument panel, the upper / lower area of the center console and under the center armrest both have storage compartments. Equipped with a hood, the storage compartment under the car’s central armrest has both a cup holder and a USB port.

When buying Hyundai Staria 2021, Korean customers can choose between 1 of 2 engine options. The first is a 4-cylinder diesel engine, 2.2L capacity, producing a maximum capacity of 174 hp and maximum torque of 431 Nm. This engine is combined with a 6-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed automatic. The second is a Smartstream 3.5L engine running on liquefied gas (LPG) with a maximum capacity of 268 hp and a maximum torque of 331 Nm. This engine only goes with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The price of the Hyundai Staria 2021 car in the Korean market currently ranges from 27.27 – 41.35 million Won (about 559 – 848 million VND). In the near future, Hyundai plans to launch more versions of this MPV line, including limousines, ambulances and camping cars.

In particular, the Hyundai Staria Lounge Limousine will be equipped with high ceilings, 25-inch screen inside and electric steps.

According to previous information, Hyundai Staria 2021 will be the MPV model mainly serving the Asian market, especially Southeast Asia. According to some rumors, the Hyundai Staria 2021 will be sold as a more premium option than the Starex in some Southeast Asian markets.

In 2020, Hyundai has registered copyrights for the Staria brand in Asian markets such as India, the Philippines, Laos, Malaysia and Cambodia. In addition, Hyundai does the same in markets such as France, Germany, Australia and the Americas – Latin.
