After officially withdrawing from the mobile market, LG plans to produce home appliances on the smartphone production line in Vietnam.
Previously, the Korean electronics company announced its decision to completely withdraw from the mobile phone segment – where it has recorded losses since the second quarter of 2015.
According to the plan, LG will complete this production conversion this year while reassigning affected workers.

In 2015, LG opened the production line in Hai Phong. The factory currently has more than 16,000 workers and mainly produces home appliances, smartphones and car infotainment products.
