With the price of rice, many localities have completely harvested winter-spring rice, so traders only trade dry rice. Currently, the price of long grain dry rice at the warehouse is from 6,000-7,950 VND/kg, depending on the locality. Rice is usually priced from 5,900-7,550 VND/kg.

Traders said that today, the purchasing demand of warehouses has not prospered, in general, raw rice has returned to hybrid rai. ST rice types are sold well, prices are stable. Similarly, the types of rice sold at the market in An Giang also continued to be stable. Specifically, sticky intestines 14,000 VND/kg; fragrant rice diced 18,000 – 19,000 VND/kg; Jasmine 14,000 VND/kg; common white rice 14,000 VND/kg; Miss Hoa 16,200 VND/kg; Squirrel is usually 14,000 VND/kg, white rice is usually stable at 11,000 – 12,000 VND/kg, Japanese rice is 24,000 VND/kg; Nang Nhen rice 20,000 VND/kg; Thai squirrel 17,000 VND/kg… On the world market, the export price of rice today suddenly decreased slightly by 5 USD/ton for 5% broken rice. Accordingly, 5% broken rice is 483-487 USD/ton. Other types of rice continue to stand still, including: 25% broken rice 463-467 USD/ton; 100% rice price 418-422 USD/ton; Jasmine 563-567 USD/ton. Along with the adjusted Vietnamese rice price, the Thai rice offering price was also adjusted down by 1 USD/ton for 5%, 25% and 100% broken rice varieties. Currently, this country’s rice is recorded at 25-31 USD/ton lower than Vietnam’s rice of the same type. It is the lower Thai rice price that is creating great competitive pressure for our country’s exporters because buyers are turning to other rice exporters who are offering cheaper prices.
