my country has a vast land and resources, and there are countless self-driving tourist routes. If I want to choose the one that impresses me the most, the national road 318 must be on the list. The longest national road in China with a total length of 5,476 kilometers passes through Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Hubei, Chongqing, Sichuan and Tibet have a total of eight provinces with beautiful scenery along the way, and they are also known as “China’s Scenic Avenue”. However, although National Highway 318 originated in the Huangpu District of Shanghai, the Sichuan-Tibet line from Sichuan to Tibet is the most famous. Some tourists even mistakenly believe that National Highway 318 is the Sichuan-Tibet line, which shows the charm of this section of the road.

It is precisely because of the beautiful scenery of the Sichuan-Tibet line that tourists flocked to it for a while. After decades, the tourism boom has lasted for a long time, so many people even gave “ridicule”, saying that the self-driving 318 is the “new four major customs”. In fact, they said so. Most of the people are people who have never been here. Everyone who has really been here is obsessed with the scenery here. I have traveled three times on the Sichuan-Tibet line, and there are countless single scenic spots on the halfway. This time I followed the “driving tour”. China’s five groups took the trend to drive 318 again, and it was also my first self-driving line in the spring. The excitement was naturally beyond words.

Starting from Chengdu all the way, you must pass through the Western Sichuan Plateau before reaching Tibet. Before reaching Tibet, you will pass through the three counties of Yajiang, Litang, and Batang. When you come here every once in a while, you can feel the changes in these counties. Both the urban construction and the night lighting project have been greatly improved. Batang County has become a city that never sleeps known as the “Little Hong Kong” in Western Sichuan. Since the previous article has written about Batang County in a single article, I will not repeat it here. Interested friends can read the previous article.

When passing through Litang County, it is daytime, so you can take a good look at the county seat. In fact, in Tibetan, “li” means “copper” and “tang” means “bazi. Litang County is a broad dam like a bronze mirror. Indeed, this county town is like the epitome of the entire Sichuan Basin. The flat land in the package: Tibetan-style dwellings are scattered and scattered, and surrounded by high mountains covered with meadows. The Litang Temple of the Yellow Sect is located on the northern hillside of the county seat. Not far away is the second highest mountain in Sichuan Province, Gnieshen Mountain. It’s very comfortable to go.

The national highway G318 just passes through the county town. There is also the West Gate of Litang on the road. It says “The World’s Highest City Litang”. Indeed, Litang is 4014.187 meters above sea level. Although it is not as high as the surrounding towering snow-capped mountains, it is in the city. The altitude is already handful, so many people stop here to take pictures. It is a check-in point for internet celebrities. By the way, if you are not familiar with Litang, Ding Zhen, a beautiful Tibetan man who was very popular some time ago, is the person here. .

I mentioned that before arriving in Tibet, it will pass through the three counties of Yajiang, Litang, and Batang. The boundary between counties and counties in Tibetan areas can be different from that of the inland. They are basically high mountains. The Kazila Mountain at an altitude of 4,718 meters is Li. A mountain at the boundary of Tang County and Yajiang County. At this altitude, there are few trees growing, only patches of alpine meadows. Since spring has arrived, there is no snow and ice coverage here, and the meadows have begun to slowly turn green. Although spring is late in Tibetan areas, it will eventually come.

In addition to being a viewing platform, Kazila Mountain is also a resting spot on the Sichuan-Tibet line. Many people urinate and urinate anywhere on the Sichuan-Tibet line. If you think this behavior is unrefined, then don’t miss it. Public toilets, after all, the rest stops on 318 are not as widespread as in the mainland. While waiting for a friend to go to the toilet, I saw a bull skull on the side of the road. Is it still a little primitive and mysterious?

The second thing I want to talk about is Dongda Mountain. In fact, when I saw this mountain, it was no longer in Sichuan, because Dongda Mountain is located in Mangkang County and Zuogong County of Tibet Autonomous Region, and it has an extraordinary The significance is that the pass, which is the highest altitude on the southern Sichuan-Tibet line, is 5130 meters above sea level. Many people will have a high incidence here, so be careful not to get too excited.

What’s fun is that when crossing other passes, you usually spiral upward along the winding road, but Dongda Mountain is completely different. There is no winding winding road along the way, but a large road that leads straight ahead. It’s long, and you can’t even see the end at a glance, but there is basically snow all year round. The harsh environment makes this place known as the “Life Forbidden Zone”, and it is also the longest and most lingering winding road on the Sichuan-Tibet line.

In addition to climbing over a dozen snow-capped mountains with an altitude of more than 4000, it is also necessary to cross a big river. After all, mountains and big rivers are always inseparable. On this road, I passed the turbulent rivers such as the Dadu River, Jinsha River, Nu River, and Lancang River. Listening to the raging waves by your side, you can feel the majestic atmosphere that only belongs to the Sichuan-Tibet line, especially standing on the observation deck. Overlooking it is even more spectacular.

Although there are many winding mountain roads along the Sichuan-Tibet line, there is one of the most spectacular, that is, the Seventy-two Turns of Nujiang River in Basu County, which is 4618 meters above sea level. “Second Turn”, in fact, it is said that there are more than 130 turns along the way. This is also one of the most famous check-in places on the Sichuan-Tibet line. If you drive the 318 by yourself, don’t forget to take a picture here.

Of course, National Highway 318 is called “Landscape Avenue”, so it won’t get ridiculously named. There are beautiful scenery along the way. Xindu Bridge, Sichuan-Tibet dividing line Jinsha River Bridge, and Bangda are surrounded by beautiful scenery along the way. Grassland, Midui Glacier, one of the six most beautiful glaciers in China, Laigu Glacier, one of the world’s three largest glaciers, Ranwu Lake, Basongcuo, Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, and Cuopugou, a new tourist attraction, etc. , And even a little turn to go to Daocheng Yading, there are so many scenic spots that you can’t even count them.

If you don’t like these famous check-in spots with crowds, you can stop and go, the scenery along the way has already been a feast for people’s eyes. I always think that the Sichuan-Tibet line is a very magical place, that is because although this self-driving line is very mature, there are still many new attractions emerging every year, each of which is very amazing. The famous attractions in the past are just earlier It’s just developed to be known to people, it doesn’t mean that there are no well-known scenic spots in the niche secrets. I don’t know what kind of surprises we think it will bring us.

Now it is the “April Day in the World”. In addition to the smooth holding of the Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival, the Sichuan-Tibet line is also full of life. Not only peach blossoms are accompanied by pear blossoms, but many trees also have new leaves, and even the ancient temples are also full of vitality. Many people think that the accommodation conditions along the Sichuan-Tibet line are not good. In fact, they are slowly improving. There are already holiday hotels in Batang County, and there are many five-star hotels in Lhasa. In hell, the eyes are in heaven”. If you miss so many beautiful scenery because of bad hardware, it would be a shame, so go ahead, National Highway 318 is waiting for you.
