Indeed, it was told and rewritten by a young man who had just overcome brain tumor at a very young age, Tong Quang Anh (23 years old, the author of the book without cover price. My story).
Autobiography or memoirs / diaries are a series of books that are quite attractive to readers because of curiosity, especially the artists with behind-the-scenes stories, told by insiders, very interested by readers.
But My story on the other hand, does not attract people curious by behind the scenes of artists. It is written and recounted, even there are still very fondly shared lines of a 22-year-old boy, the age that entered the threshold of life with so many ambitions, dreams … as a way to challenge human energy, at the most beautiful youth, with the most dreams, that young person has to face with brain tumor before he can graduate from university.
“Why not leave the cover price so you?”, I asked. Quang Anh slowly replied (because if I want to hurry, it can’t be helped, because I am in the process of recovering my health): “I don’t want to leave the price of the cover, because I don’t write books to sell for money. First, I wrote this story in English. Partly because I don’t want it to become too popular, my Facebook friends will ask me a lot of things I can’t answer.
It was not until my uncle and the doctors treated me and many friends encouraged me to make up my mind to make everything look like a book. I did not quote the price of the cover because the purpose of my book is to let everyone contribute and all that money, I donate to the cancer patients “.
Quang Anh and the treatment process
And perhaps with the course of treatment for the past 1 year, more than anyone else, Quang Anh understands the fatal pain of his illness. The slightly unhealthy voice of a person who has just crossed the line of life and death, Quang Anh continued: “When I revised the shared lines from Facebook into books, at that time I did not think about transmitting any message, just that I want to use the money from selling books to support children. Because of children, the stamina is weaker than ours, so I want to target that object, making a small contribution to help them overcome difficulties ”.
As a young person, I understand the sense of excitement and ambition of a senior. How much is the plan, how much is the plan for the future that will start after the date of receiving the degree that I have spent 4 years trying. Someone suffering from evil diseases makes everyone around them feel sorry, but as a young person, the grief is doubled and comes with a little regret, because they have a long, long youth … After Many connections, every time I hang up, I secretly hope that miracles will really come to Quang Anh and her body really “cooperates” with special medicines and treatment regimen after surgery.
Miracles are real

But when I recovered, my limbs were still not really flexible, my voice was still shaking, instead of taking time to rest, I started selling books to raise funds to support cancer patients. “In the first three months at the hospital, I saw me selling books to raise funds, my mother worried that I would be tired. But there are times when my mother expresses anger because she is determined to do it, not halfway through it, “Quang Anh said.
Quang Anh’s efforts and the support of family and friends, the first round of book sales raised VND 122 million and was divided into more than 20 gifts for pediatric cancer patients at K Hospital.
