This is not the first time YouTubers have gone against the rules in public places to shoot experience videos.
Angel Hsu, a YouTuber from Taiwan (China), is being the center of criticism for his cooking behavior at Sembawang hot spring park (Singapore), according to Asia One.
Specifically, Hsu filmed an experimental video of boiling chicken wings and cooking rice in hot springs. The clip shows the female YouTuber putting marinated chicken wings, eggs and rice in a metal pot and placed under hot water nearly 70 degrees Celsius. YouTuber Angel Hsu was condemned by netizens for boiling chickens at a hot spring, which is not allowed in Sembawang Park. Photo: Angel Hsu. After tasting the dish prepared in a special way, Hsu said that visitors can “try making different dishes thanks to the natural hot springs”. As soon as the video was broadcast, Angel Hsu immediately received a wave of fierce criticism from the local netizens. Many people said that cooking at a hot spring park is a violation of the rules of the tour, affecting environmental sanitation. “Sembawang Park does not prohibit cooking at the stream, but that does not mean visitors are allowed to do so,” commented a netizen. Historically, Sembawang hot spring in Singapore has always attracted domestic and international visitors thanks to its spring bath service and natural boiled eggs. However, many visitors still behave against the rules like Hsu. Cooking chicken or other dishes in natural hot springs is “unacceptable” because of the impact on the water and air environment. The media said that this trend has raised concerns about food safety and hygiene, confirming this is an “unacceptable” behavior. Other than boiling eggs, which are allowed by park management, cooking chicken or other dishes with natural hot springs can pollute the water and air here. “Due to being led to the public sewers, the water source in Sembawang Park is only used for bathing and boiling eggs, not for any other action,” the management representative replied. In addition, the management of Sembawang hot spring park also encourages visitors to comply with the regulations. “The parks, gardens and hot spring areas here welcome all visitors to enjoy. However, please think of the common benefits of experiencing and resting here”.
