This scenic spot in Jiangxi is a bit weird: it’s a scenic spot, half deserted and half full of tourists.

This is Xiaoyu’s travel diary, stop and go, and watch Jiangxi with me.

When traveling to Wuyuan, Jiangxi, there was a scenic spot that made us feel weird. Obviously it is a scenic spot, half deserted and half with a lot of tourists. When taking a taxi to the scenic spot, the driver’s master directly skipped the entrance of the previous scenic spot and drew us directly to the gate of the next scenic spot. What is going on?

The scenic spot we went to was called “Sixiyan Village”. This scenic spot consists of two villages, “Sixi” and “Yancun”, connected by a mountain trail of about 1 km in the middle. It is a famous tourist attraction on the Wuyuan North Line.

Sixiyan Village is not far from Wuyuan County, but there is no direct bus to the scenic spot. We departed from the North Bus Station in Wuyuan County, took a bus to Sikou Town, and called Didi to go to the scenic spot. There was an episode in the middle of the way. When we arrived at the entrance of “Yancun”, the driver didn’t stop and pulled us to continue driving forward. We hurriedly called to a stop and let the driver back to the entrance of “Yancun”, thinking in our hearts why not stop when we arrived at the scenic spot.

Later, I didn’t know until I finished visiting the two villages. It turned out that “Yan Village” really had no tourists.

When we arrived at the entrance of the “Yancun” scenic spot, it was very convenient for us to directly swipe our face into the scenic spot after buying the Wuyuan travel package. However, when we visited “Yancun” next, we “hit a wall” everywhere.

According to the signs of the scenic spot, we wanted to visit several famous Huizhou buildings in “Yancun”, but found that the door was either closed or changed into a guest house and refused to visit. I swayed in the village road all the way, and muttered in my heart: Such a village actually has to collect tickets? It’s no wonder that apart from my good friends, few tourists have been seen along the way.

Because there was basically nothing to stroll around, we soon passed through “Yan Village” and walked to the mountain path leading to “Sixi”. The large sea of rapeseed flowers in the valley and the beautiful natural scenery made us feel much better. When we walked to the entrance of the “Sixi” village scenic spot, we suddenly felt like entering the scenic spot, because there were more tourists all of a sudden.

Compared with “Yancun”, “Sixi” is simply too much fun! “Sixi” was built in the Southern Song Dynasty and has a history of more than 800 years. The name of this village is beautiful and the environment is more beautiful. There is a stream named Yudai River at the entrance of the village. The river winds from the depths of the mountain and goes round and round in Sixi Village. The Huizhou architecture with white walls and black tiles conceals it, forming a beautiful view of people with small bridges and flowing water.

Sixi Village is very rich in history. For hundreds of years, the villagers have been doing business in various places. After getting rich, they returned to their hometowns to buy land and buy houses and build academies. Nowadays, many ancient houses of Ming and Qing Dynasties are also preserved. Among them, the most famous “Jingxutang” , Is the filming location of the 1987 TV series “Liao Zhai”.

Of course, these ancient residential buildings can be visited inside. Most of them are still inhabited, so we not only admired the architecture, but we also had close contact with some authentic Sixi villagers and learned a lot about the local customs in Wuyuan.

It wasn’t until we finished visiting Sixi Village that we finally felt that the tickets were worthwhile. During the tour, we also met a lot of travel teams. As an attraction on the Wuyuan North Line, this place is still attractive.

Later, someone told me that Yancun was known as the “first village of Confucian merchants” and was a famous ancient village in Wuyuan and even Huizhou in history. However, from my personal experience point of view, although there are some ancient buildings in Yancun, it seems that they cannot be visited inside, and the viewing and experience are not strong. If you come to stay in Yancun, you can live in the Hui-style house with a history of hundreds of years. Otherwise, you can go directly to Sixi for a tour.

I wonder if you have ever been to this scenic spot in Wuyuan Sixiyan Village? Do you have the same travel experience as me? Welcome everyone to leave a message to discuss~
