These two patients were vaccinated in Cambodia, but when they returned to Vietnam through testing, they were positive for SARS-CoV-2.
Measure body temperature of people on entry. On June 15, Tay Ninh province recorded 3 more cases of COVID-19 who were imported from Cambodia. In which, 2 cases were injected with 1-2 doses of COVID-19 vaccine by the Cambodian side. Case 10833 (SN 1985, living in Di An district, Binh Duong province) works as a worker at a company in Kampot province, Cambodia. From May 15 to 27, this patient was isolated at the company’s dormitory; negative test results for COVID-19 twice. On June 11, Patient 10833 completed immigration procedures to Vietnam at Moc Bai International Border Gate and was taken to concentrated isolation at Bau Don Secondary School. On June 14, CDC Tay Ninh confirmed positive results for SARS-CoV-2. Case 11000 (SN 1976, lived in Thoi Hau A ward, Hong Ngu city, Dong Thap province), lived in an area near Ho Luong market, in the Kingdom of Cambodia. On June 12, the patient returned to Moc Bai International Border Gate to complete entry procedures into Vietnam and was taken to a concentrated isolation area at Phuoc Thanh Secondary School, Phuoc Thanh Commune, Go Dau District. On June 14, CDC Tay Ninh confirmed positive results for SARS-CoV-2. Case 11001 (SN 1988, address in My Thanh commune, Tan Tru district, Long An province), worked as a mason for a construction project in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. On June 14, the patient returned to Moc Bai International Border Gate, completed entry procedures into Vietnam and was taken to isolation at Ben Cau District Medical Center. On June 15, the Tay Ninh CDC confirmed that the patient was positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, all 3 patients are being monitored and treated at Ben Cau District Medical Center. The health sector has identified 94 close contacts, isolated in concentrated isolation areas at Phuoc Thanh Secondary School and Bau Don Secondary School. In these 3 patients, patient 11000 received 2 doses of COVID-19 vaccine in Cambodia and patient 11001 also received 1 dose of the vaccine from Cambodia. As of tonight (June 15), Tay Ninh province recorded all 69 cases of COVID-19, including 1 case of community transmission, 68 imported cases. There were 36/69 patients cured and discharged from the hospital and no one died.
