The winners of the “Make in Vietnam digital technology product” award in 2021 will be considered for inclusion in the List of IT products and services prioritized for investment, hiring and procurement in state agencies.
“Make in Vietnam digital products” is an award chaired by the Ministry of Information and Communications and organized from 2020 with the aim of honoring excellent digital technology products designed, created and manufactured in Vietnam and has great practical value recognized in the development of the digital economy, digital government and digital society.
The Ministry of Information and Communications will hold an online press conference to announce and launch the “Make in Vietnam Digital Product” award 2021 on June 18. This is the second year this award has been held. This event will take place at 6 bridge points, namely at the headquarters of the Ministry of Information and Communications, 5 at the Department of Information and Communications of provinces and cities including: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho. In the second year of being held, according to the Award Regulation signed by the Minister of Information and Communications on June 7, “Make in Vietnam Digital Products” in 2021 continues to have 5 categories, including: Excellent digital platform; Excellent digital products; Excellent digital solutions; Narrowing the digital divide; Potential digital products. 
The “Make in Vietnam Digital Product” Award in 2021 continues to have 5 categories. Besides, the second “Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product” award also has changes compared to 2020. Specifically, this year there will be Gold, Silver and Bronze awards for the categories of Excellent Digital Platform; Excellent digital products; Excellent digital solutions; Close the number gap. As for the category “Potential digital products”, this category is only applicable to participating units that are non-business organizations, small and medium-sized enterprises or creative start-ups, and only the Top 10 will be announced. The organization is expected to invite leaders of the Party, State and Government to award prizes to enterprises with high prizes. Products honored at the “Make in Vietnam Digital Products” award in 2021 must satisfy two main groups of criteria, namely: design, creativity in Vietnam and practical value. In the criterion group “Actual value”, the score structure related to revenue, the number of users is 40 (accounting for about 70%). The award also encourages digital technology products of small and medium enterprises and innovative start-ups in the category of “Potential Digital Products”. Regarding the process of reviewing and awarding this year’s awards, the representative of the Organizing Committee said that at the preliminary stage, the subcommittees of the Jury Council will organize grading of documents that meet the criteria through the pre-qualification round. select 12 records with the highest score of each award category. The participating units with records in the group of 12 records with the highest score of each category will present and defend before the respective Committee’s Sub-Committees (in person or online) to the Sub-Committees. The evaluation board selects the Top 10 records in order of scores from high to low of each category.
