The new BMW 5 Series was officially launched in Vietnam with 3 versions of the BMW 520i Luxury Line, 520i M Sport and the most advanced version of the 530i M Sport.
BMW Asia and THACO officially launched the new BMW 5 Series with an upgraded design that is more luxurious but still retains its own sporty personality.

BMW 520i Luxury Line version

First appeared in 1972, BMW 5 Series has undergone nearly 50 years of development with 7 generations and more than 8 million cars sold worldwide. Throughout generations, the BMW 5 Series has won countless prestigious awards and is one of the most successful BMW models.

In the latest generation, the BMW 5 Series continues to write the glorious story of its predecessors, bringing a change from the exterior to the interior, along with valuable upgrades in lighting technology. and the vehicle’s modern connectivity features. The new BMW 5 Series will be officially launched in Vietnam with 3 versions of the BMW 520i Luxury Line, 520i M Sport and the most advanced version of the 530i M Sport.

The design of the BMW 5 Series is distinguished by its exquisite sporty beauty. New tweaks contribute to increased recognition and bring the style of the 5 Series to life. The signature kidney-shaped grille has been increased in width and height, while being pulled down deeper in the front bumper and surrounded by a sturdy bezel. The slimmer contour of the headlights brings a modern touch to the style that has become a trademark of BMW.

The headlights of the new BMW 5 Series feature L-shaped LED strips arranged next to each other to create accurate and modern lighting graphics, this is a design similar to the predecessor BMW 7 Series.

Adaptive LED headlights are standard on the new BMW 520i Luxury Line with the function to expand the angle of the projection when cornering, separate each light stream (BMW Selective Beam), as well as the automatic control feature. Adjusting to change the angle of projection (High-beam Assistant) thanks to the vehicle tracking camera system located behind the rearview mirror inside the car.

In two versions of the BMW 520i M Sport and BMW 530i M Sport, the front headlights are significantly upgraded with super bright BMW Laserlight technology, with significant improvements. Compared with standard adaptive LED technology, the BMW Laserlight provides a light stream of approximately 10 times more intensity and the ability to illuminate up to 650 meters. The laser diode will be automatically activated and reflect the light stream onto the road surface only when the vehicle reaches a speed of 60 km / h or more.

In the lower speed range, the standard LED light will still be used. This not only helps to increase the safety of the driver and passengers on the vehicle, ensuring that it does not affect other vehicles when traveling. The distinctive blue border of BMW Laserlight technology is also a detail that contributes to a very attractive highlight at the front of the car. In addition, the turn signal lights on the new BMW 5 Series are also integrated into the daylight cluster.

The black frame and L-shaped graphics help the new BMW 5 Series rear lights increase the visual appearance and make the rear end more superficial. The rear lights and brake lights of the car are integrated into a common lighting, creating a striking 3D design. All BMW 5 Series models will come with a newly designed trapezoidal exhaust set.

The M Sport package for the first time on the new 5 Series offers a more robust design for both the front and rear thanks to upgraded aerodynamic features for a more balanced vehicle. The new exterior colors combined with the BMW Individual Air Performance Wheels are exciting improvements to the new 5 Series. The structure of the wheel uses BMW’s exclusive light alloy, which significantly reduces the weight and coefficient of drag for the vehicle. The 530i M Sport version features a high-performance M Sport brake with large disc and blue brake calipers. This detail not only helps the 530i M Sport increase the exterior beauty but also ensures the safety of the rider when traveling at high speeds.

The interior compartment of the new BMW 5 Series features a 12.3-inch central touch screen on all trim levels. A sports leather steering wheel with multi-function buttons is standard on the 5 Series, a highlight that contributes to a more modern, refined cockpit. Standard equipment for the new BMW 5 Series now also includes automatic four-zone climate control with extensive features.

Not only that, the upgraded list of the interior compartment also inherits the most advanced equipment from the BMW 7 Series and BMW X7 including new interior trim lights, an ion-generating system and interior aroma. (Ambient air) and premium Dakota leather seats contribute to the luxurious and classy interior space for the new 5 Series.

The 520i M Sport and 530i M Sport versions also feature heating and cooling for the driver’s seat. The new BMW 5 Series is upgraded with a B48, 2.0 liter, I4, TwinPower Turbo engine with two petrol engine options with the same capacity of 184 horsepower for the 520i version and 252 hp for the 530i version. The direct fuel injection system operates at high pressure, helping the engine to operate more efficiently while saving fuel.

All engines are mated to the standard eight-speed Steptronic gearbox for smoother and smoother performance than the previous generation. This makes the new 5 Series a sedan not only luxurious, but also delivers the distinctive BMW excitement at the wheel.

The BMW Live Cockpit Professional and the BMW 7.0 operating system are included as standard on the new BMW 5 Series, with many additional digital features added. The updated BMW Intelligent Voice Control is standard on the new BMW 5 Series.
