There are many glaciers within reach. Wang Gongga is right in front of him, but he has almost no troubles of high antipathy. With the hot springs, it is easy to satisfy your desire to spend a relaxing holiday while watching the snow and glaciers, without having to suffer as much as going to Tibet.
However, it is very important to choose the right season, otherwise you will be unable to get up. I am the best example. After playing Hailuogou, I shed tears and vomited blood.

I don’t think it’s so good… Camp No. 3 is about two kilometers from Chengmen Cave. If you don’t want to walk, you can also buy a battery ticket for 30 people back and forth. At the end of the battery car is a small green lake with a nice name: Crescent Lake. Although the weather is bad, the lake is still clear and transparent. According to the introduction, when it is sunny, this is the best place to watch the Golden Mountain in sunshine. The melted snow from the glacier rolled down the river beach swiftly. Upward along the plank road is the Chengmendong Glacier. These red stones are scattered on the river beach. In fact, it is not that the stone is red, but that a kind of red moss grows on the surface of the stone. But it is amazing that this kind of moss only grows here. If someone takes it home, it won’t be long before the moss dies, and the bright red stone will become an ordinary stone again. So remember, just enjoy them here. Judging from the map of the scenic spot, there is a larger redstone beach near Camp 4, but looking at the weather today, I think we must not be able to go up. Ahead, the gate hole! At the end of this plank road, you can no longer go forward, and the glacier can only be seen from afar. However, there will still be many people who turn down the plank road and walk from the rocky beach to the glacier. Look at tourists in twos and threes. Even though the mountains are covered with limestone and rocks, in fact, what is covered underneath is not the mountain, but the faint blue Wannian glacier. When the lens is stretched to the longest one, it counts. Anyway, if you walk in front of you, it is impossible to climb into the ice cave to see, and you are pulling the cordon! It is known as the lowest glacier in the world, only 2850 meters above sea level. The biggest highlight of Hailuogou is the glacier at low altitude. Even the highest camp No. 4 has several glaciers and an altitude of 3,600 meters, which is a height that most healthy people can easily reach. However, when we returned by the battery car, the driver’s brother said: This day, there is no need to go to Camp No. 4, it is all foggy, and you can’t see anything. It’s a waste of money. Listen to people’s advice to eat a full meal Give up immediately. I ate something at the service station of Camp 3 to replenish my energy. Decided to take the walking trail in the forest to Dongga Temple, and after seeing the distance, it was only 1.8 kilometers. It should be easy. In the forest, the big trees are covered with usnea. Usnea has very high requirements for air, which at least shows that the ecological environment of Hailuogou is very good. The trail is not lonely, and from time to time, twos and threes of tourists also pass by. On a dead tree, with small mushrooms, squatted down and patted it. Tiny spider webs. Flowers from moss. A small glacial rain pond. This is a unique wetland landscape formed by the combination of abundant groundwater deposited by melting glaciers and sufficient precipitation. Such a dense virgin forest, if you walk alone, you will be a little scared! In this place, the broken tree lay horizontally on the ground. It had obviously been a long time since the tree body began to rot and was covered with moss. Reminds me of Ta Prohm Temple in Angkor. An abandoned house, the roof is already full of moss and vines. This is the world of plants… This big tree, called “Avalokitesvara of Thousand Hands”, really looks like it! The melted snow water from the glacier descends mightily from here, and the roar can be heard from far away. Adjust the parameters and take a slow shot. The plank road slowly climbed up, it was a bit difficult to walk, and while walking, he said: This is at least 3 kilometers, why hasn’t it been there yet? When I finally saw the sign of Dongga Temple, the fog became thicker and thicker. Touching the hair, it seems a little wet. There is no rain on the mountain road, and Kongcui’s clothes are wet! To Dongga Temple, you can take a scenic bus to go out, or you can continue to the next destination, Caohaizi. Because I was tired, and it was too early, I gave up Caohaizi and prepared to go straight down the mountain. There are a lot of big brothers here. If there are plastic bags on the outside of your backpack, they will unceremoniously grab them, flip through the contents, and throw them away if they don’t have what they want. Very fierce… When I went down the mountain, I ran into a few tourists who took the cable car to Camp 4. They said with a bitter expression that they had spent the cable car money, and they went up to a vast expanse of whiteness and saw nothing. Look at the picture below. When we got here, the clouds and mist were halfway up the mountain, which would have already filled the ground. In the scenic area, the visibility is estimated to be less than 50 meters… TIPS: Hailuogou is actually a good place. You can soak in hot springs, watch the sunshine Jinshan, get close to the glaciers, and hike in the virgin forest to breathe fresh air… But the season should be chosen. Generally speaking, the sunny weather is the most in winter. A friend in Chengdu said that locals go to Hailuogou only in winter when they go to hot springs. In other seasons, the probability of encountering cloudy and rainy days is higher. Although it is barely a plateau, I always feel that the mountains have a microclimate, which is not the same as the plains. Of course, if you are lucky, it might be sunny in summer. For accommodation, outside the gate of Hailuogou is Moxi Ancient Town. There are many inns, hotels, and restaurants. The old stone road streets in the ancient town and the Catholic Church, the former site of the Moxi Conference, can be visited and feel very good. You can take public transportation to Luding County first, and then take the village bun to the ancient town of Moxi, which takes about an hour and a half.
