The 1:22 scale model of Hang Soc farm was handcrafted by two girls in Ho Chi Minh City in 10 months. The product makes many people excited, especially fans of the Harry Potter series.
In May 2020, Nguyen Hong Thuy (born in 1994) and Nguyen Ngoc Quynh Nhu (born in 1993) embarked on a model of The Burrow Farm.
The two girls were expected to complete only half a year, but it took 10 months to hand over a special set of models to a customer – a loyal fan of the Harry Potter series in Ho Chi Minh City. Miniature Burrow Farm with hundreds of details In the Harry Potter books, the Burrow is described as the large “twisted, crooked” home of the Weasley family. Not as grand as Hogwarts and not as boisterous as Diagon Alley, but the house is a place that means a lot to fans of the series as it has been described as “the only warm place in Harry Potter’s brutal life in past” – quoted translation.

The outside structure of the house is made according to the movie, but the interior layout and interior are both created by Thuy and Quynh Nhu. The ideation process for the house took up to 3 months, including many revisions and discussions. “The overall model consists of 1 ground floor and 3 floors. The ground floor has a living room, a kitchen and a working area. The upper 3 floors include 4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and an attic. In the Harry Potter movies and books, there is not much information about the layout of the rooms in the house, except for the attic. So I had to build the internal structure to match and be consistent with the outside architecture,” said Hong Thuy. 
Every little detail is meticulously and skillfully done by the two girls. Every detail in the house is meticulously calculated by Hong Thuy and Quynh Nhu. The couple included ruffled chairs, unwashed pans in pots and moss clinging to the tile floor. Even the scratches on the old wall and the dust on the roof are fully shown.

Every detail is carefully handcrafted and the materials selected to match. “Depending on the details, we use materials such as wood, fomex, clay, zinc, paper, plastic, etc. Like the outside of the house, we use small pieces of wood to make the wall. The roof is made of bricks and tiles that I made myself,” said Hong Thuy. 
Every tiny item in the house is made by the two girls. After 10 months, the Grave Farm model was completed and the two girls breathed a sigh of relief. Hong Thuy said that because of perfectionism, there are many details in the finished house that are still added by the two girls to be more beautiful. The girl confided in Zing : “We do everything until we are satisfied. It can be said that the finished model is better than our initial expectations”. 
Each room is meticulously shaped. Currently, the model of the house of the Weasley family has been sent to the customer. Hong Thuy refused to disclose the selling price, only revealing that the amount was not small. “I would like to keep the price secret, which is quite high. I do not dare to expect many customers who are passionate enough to order a second The Burrow miniature. Because in Vietnam, this hobby is not popular. My customers have very positive feedback about this model,” said Hong Thuy. Work is only for the patient Besides the model of Hang Soc farm, Hong Thuy and Quynh Nhu have made many other miniature models. This work of the two girls comes from a passion for stop motion animated films. “Currently, this can be considered as my main job. In addition to this model, Quynh Nhu and I also make other products with many different proportions and themes,” said Hong Thuy. 
The beautiful house makes Harry Potter fans excited. Making a miniature model is not easy, making it beautiful is even more difficult. Someone said that to become a model maker perhaps requires ingenuity, but Hong Thuy denied. She said that the most important thing is to be patient. “Persistence is the most important quality when it comes to modeling. Many people are good with their hands, but they don’t have the perseverance to make a work from start to finish. The second quality is the ability to estimate. Even with imagination, everything can go wrong. So you have to estimate yourself to be able to make that detail accurately. The third quality is the aesthetic ability in arrangement and color selection. Not just making meticulous details, putting them side by side will be beautiful,” said Hong Thuy. Currently, Hong Thuy and Quynh Nhu’s Hang Soc farm model is still receiving many compliments from the online community. The two girls said they will continue to make miniature models, including scenes from Harry Potter stories.
