Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Thi Ha said that Vietnam is one of the countries that ratified the UN Convention on Persons with Disabilities very early. At the same time, Vietnam has issued many documents and policies to support care for people with disabilities. Up to now, 100% of provinces and cities directly under the Central Government have had facilities and centers operating services to care for the disabled. In particular, in Ho Chi Minh City, there is the Center for Rehabilitation and Support for Children with Disabilities at 38 Tu Xuong, which is also one of the units performing well supportive care services for people with disabilities.
At the show, after seeing the handicrafts of the disabled children on display at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha affirmed that people with disabilities can be completely healthy, can do the what normal healthy people are doing.
