Implementing the project ‘Development of reading culture in the community to 2020, orientations to 2030’ of the Government and the Plan 132 on developing reading culture in the CAND to 2020, with a vision to 2030 of the Ministry of Public. Security, up to now, the units, the local police have ensured nearly 100% of the set targets in the period 2018-2020.
The library system in the CAND has been built and strengthened, from ministries to police units and localities. Up to now, 100% of units have bookcases, especially law bookcases; 64% of units have libraries; 100% of units are equipped with computer systems to ensure library work.
Books to serve readers in the CAND more and more and more abundant. According to the Department of Party Affairs and Political Work, the Ministry of Public Security in the period of 2018 – 2020, 100% of the units were provided with and supplemented with documents, with nearly 100 books equivalent to nearly 15,000 books / 3 years. . The police of units and localities have received the books and put them into effective use to serve cadres and soldiers, ensuring the need to enjoy the cultural and spiritual enjoyment of CAND officials and soldiers. The latest statistical results show that the total document capital of libraries, reading rooms, bookcases, especially the document capital of academies and CAND schools is rich and diverse in types and quantity. including books, printed materials, digitized documents and electronic documents. Library centers have focused on building databases, digital documents and electronic documents. The number of readers going to the library and reading room has increased over the years. Nine out of 12 school units in the Public Security have the average number of readers going to the library by over 40%. Specifically, the computer system and the server have 1,222 machines. 100% of the school libraries have copiers, scanners, printers and other modern equipment.
