Buy “rescue” plums for farmers Mr. Loc Minh Thuc (SN 1961), from Ban Lanh village, Hoa Cu commune, Cao Loc district, Lang Son, said: The plum from Lang is quite big, round and not too sour, crunchy, easy to sprinkle the seeds and turn over. own specialties in Lang Son. Plums in previous years were consumed strongly, sometimes up to over 60,000 VND / kg, so households learned to grow plums to eradicate hunger and alleviate poverty. “My house has 700 originals with an area of about 3 hectares, bringing high income. In 2019, the family earned nearly 100 million dong. However, from last year until now, due to the COVID-19 epidemic, few buyers and small businesses no longer ordered at the original place as usual, leading to a damp plum. In the harvest season, the orchard owners put the fruit in sacks and then transport them by bicycle to the district and city markets for sale. At first, he still sold 5,000-7,000 VND / kg, now it falls down to 2,000-3,000 VND / kg but there are still no buyers ”- Mr. Thuc said sadly. The districts with the largest plum area are: Cao Loc over 185 ha, Van Lang 150 ha, Van Quan 120 ha. This year, plum growing households struggled because of “output” squash. Mr. Hoang Lang Huy, living in Chi Lang ward, Lang Son city, buys about 1-2 tons of plums a day, then ships it to diners in Lang Son city and surrounding areas for 3,000 VND / kg. According to the reporter Tien Phong, rice plums are carried by the people and carried to traditional markets in Lang Son city such as Ky Lua, Dong Kinh, Chi Lang, and Square well.
